Urologist
Tobias Klatte is Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is also a Visiting Researcher at the University of Cambridge and an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh. Dr Klatte obtained both his medical degree and doctoral degree at the University of Magdeburg, Germany. He received his clinical training at the Medical University of Vienna/Vienna General Hospital, where he subsequently joined the faculty and rose to the rank of associate professor. He moved to the UK in 2017, where he spent one year at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge before being appointed in Bournemouth. His main clinical interests are minimally invasive and open surgery for renal and urothelial cancer. Dr Klatte completed a research fellowship in urological oncology at the University of California-Los Angeles. His research is focused on kidney cancer and urothelial cancer, and he has published widely in these fields. In 2012, he completed his habilitation on prognostic factors in renal cell carcinoma.
