Professor Dr med. Oliver Weingärtner studied at Eberhard-Karls Universität Tübingen, Germany and Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta/USA. Oliver currently works at the University Hospital in Jena, Germany as an interventional cardiologist. He is head of the lipid outpatient clinic. He is certified in cardiology, angiology, intensive care medicine and general internal medicine. Since June 2017 Oliver is the President of the German Society of Lipidology (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Fettstoffwechselstörungen und ihren Folgeerkrankungen – DGFF).
