Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Loïc Sentilhes is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Chairman of the Obstetrics and Fetal Medicine Department at Bordeaux University Hospital, France, since 2016.
He is coordinating the development of the Obstetrics guidelines of the French College of Gynecologists and Obstetricians since 2011. His main research interests include induction of labor, prevention and treatment of postpartum hemorrhage in particular in case of placenta accreta spectrum and by use of tranexamic acid (He was the principal investigator of the TRAAP and TRAAP2 trials). He has published more than 400 articles in international peer review journals, coordinated 7 books on Obstetrics and written more than 50 chapters of book.
He received the Bruce A. Work Award for Best Research by a Practicing or Training Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician Outside of the US at the SMFM annual meeting in 2018, 2020 and 2021.He is Fellow ad eundem of the RCOG since 2019.
