Neuroendocrine Patient Advocate
After losing her husband Larry to high-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma, Susan turned her heartbreak into purpose. A registered nurse for over 20 years, she saw firsthand how isolating and confusing the journey could be for patients and families. Determined to change that, she began a small online support group that blossomed into Minkahz NETs Mission — a global community built on compassion, connection, and hope.
Now living in Atlanta with her husband Toni and their golden retriever Minkah, Susan continues to honor Larry’s legacy through advocacy, education, and patient support. Her leadership and devotion to the community earned her the Monica Warner Award from Novartis Oncology — recognizing those who exemplify the passion and humanity that drive true change.
“No one should have to face this fight alone. That’s why Minkahz NETs Mission exists — to bring light, love, and understanding to even the darkest journeys.”
