Clinical Takeaways

  1. Contrary to common belief, bleeding disorders do occur in women and girls, and have a major impact on their quality of life

  2. It is important to have an individual medical care plan in place for both children and adults with bleeding disorders to advise on care at school, in work, during pregnancy, for surgery, or in an emergency

  3. Ensure women and girls with bleeding disorders are aware that support is available through patient organisations
